In exploring a new city, one wrong turn can leave us craving all the creature comforts of the simple life we left behind. What stops us from walking out or driving away, suitcase stowed in the trunk?

The heart-in-hand plunge of a new job intimidates, until we find others who awaken that still small voice in us- the one that finds courage in vulnerability, the one guiding our footfalls between the safe place we once lived and the brand-new here and now.

Aside from a bustling job market, Seattle has always had a great deal to offer. A Wednesday morning fitness group that fosters healthful accountability (November Project), a pocket of curated restaurants and businesses that complement each other perfectly (Chophouse Row), and an early Saturday morning volunteer group devoted to city cleanup: these are just a sample of the community-building undertakings we've recently discovered in our city.
